Drug: Plavix

clopidogrel bisulfate (pronounced cloh-PID-oh-grel bigh-SUL-fayt)

Common Side Effects: headache, dizziness.

Less Common Side Effects: weakness, nausea, constipation or diarrhea, increased risk of bleeding.

Missed Dose: Take the missed dose as soon as possible and resume your regular schedule. Don't double the dose.

Drug Interactions: Combining certain medications may alter their actions or produce unwanted effects. Tell your health care provider about other prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you're taking, especially:

aspirin
NSAIDs (such as Advil, Aleve, and ibuprofen)
heparin
warfarin (Coumadin).
