| Common Side Effects: |

| Less Common Side Effects: dizziness, loss of body strength, headache, vision changes, nausea, yellow-tinged skin or eyes, allergic skin reactions (itching, inflammatory redness of the skin, hives), low glucose levels, fluid retention. |

| Missed Dose: Follow your health care provider's instructions. What you must do depends on the other medications you're taking to control your glucose level. |

Drug Interactions: Combining certain medications may alter their actions or produce unwanted effects. Tell your health care provider about other prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you're taking, especially:
- beta blockers (such as atenolol and propranolol)
- insulin
- medications that are highly protein bound (such as aspirin, sulfonamides, chloramphenicol, probenecid, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants), and warfarin (Coumadin))
- medications that cause high glucose levels (such as estrogens, hormonal contraceptives, corticosteroids, phenothiazines, thyroid products, phenytoin (Dilantin), nicotinic acid, isoniazid, sympathomimetics, thiazides, and other diuretics (water pills))
- NSAIDs (such as Advil, Aleve, and ibuprofen).
