Drug: Lunesta

eszopiclone (pronounced ess-zoe-PICK-lone)

Common Side Effects: headache, respiratory infection, extreme tiredness, unpleasant taste in the mouth.

Less Common Side Effects: accidental injury, anxiety, confusion, decreased sex drive, depression, diarrhea, dizziness, dry mouth, upset stomach, hallucinations, itching, nausea, nervousness, pain, rash, urinary tract infection, viral infection, vomiting.

Missed Dose: If you're already in bed but still have time to get a full night's sleep, take the missed dose. Don't take a missed dose if you don't have time to get a full night's sleep.

Drug Interactions: Combining certain medications may alter their actions or produce unwanted effects. Tell your health care provider about other prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you're taking, especially:

clarithromycin (Biaxin)
ketoconazole (Nizoral)
itraconazole (Sporonox)
nefazodone
nelfinavir (Viracept)
olanzapine (Zyprexa)
rifampin (Rifadin)
ritonavir (Norvir)
troleandomycin (Tao).
