Drug: Cefzil

cefprozil (pronounced SEF-pruh-zil)

Common Side Effects: diarrhea, nausea.

Less Common Side Effects: dizziness, hyperactivity, headache, nervousness, insomnia, confusion, extreme sleepiness, vomiting, abdominal pain, decreased kidney function, genital itching, vaginal inflammation, decreased white blood cell count, elevated liver test results, yellow-tinged skin and eyes (rare), rash, hives, diaper rash, allergic reactions.

Missed Dose: Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose as scheduled. Don't double the dose.

Drug Interactions: Combining certain medications may alter their actions or produce unwanted effects. Tell your health care provider about other prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you're taking, especially:

aminoglycosides
probenecid.
