| Common Side Effects: dizziness, fatigue, chest pain, diarrhea, increased glucose level, upper respiratory infections, weight gain. |

| Less Common Side Effects: headache, dulled sensitivity to touch, difficulty sleeping, pain, numbness and tingling, extreme tiredness, worsening chest pain, high or low blood pressure, dizziness and fainting with position changes, visual changes, abdominal pain, black or tarry stools, nausea, vomiting, loose teeth, impaired kidney function, blood and albumin in the urine, impotence, urinary infections, purple discoloration of skin caused by bleeding under the skin and other tissues, dehydration, gout, metabolic disorders, bronchitis, sore throat, stuffy nose, allergy, joint pain, back pain, fever, muscle pain, viral infections, swelling of tissues or arms and legs, chest pain, weight loss, weakness. |

| Missed Dose: Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Don't take a double dose. |

Drug Interactions: Combining certain medications may alter their actions or produce unwanted effects. Tell your health care provider about other prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you're taking, especially:
- calcium channel blockers (such as diltiazem, felodipine, nifedipine, and verapamil)
- catecholamine-depleting agents (such as reserpine and MAO inhibitors)
- cimetidine (Tagamet)
- clonidine
- digoxin
- insulin
- oral antidiabetics
- rifampin.
