Drug: Entocort EC

budesonide (pronounced byoo-DES-oh-nighd)

Common Side Effects: headache, nausea, acne, respiratory tract infection.

Less Common Side Effects: dizziness, weakness, tremors, fatigue, agitation, confusion, nervousness, chest pain, high blood pressure, fast heart rate, flushing, swelling of the face and tongue, abnormal vision, upset stomach, gas, vomiting, anal disorders, hemorrhoids, intestinal obstruction, tooth disorders, increased appetite, weight gain, back pain, aggravated arthritis, cramps, muscle pain, bronchitis, difficulty breathing, hair loss, dermatitis, eczema, skin disorders, increased sweating, flulike syndrome, difficulty sleeping, yeast infection, pain.

Missed Dose: Take the dose as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose as scheduled. Don't double the dose.

Drug Interactions: Combining certain medications may alter their actions or produce unwanted effects. Tell your health care provider about other prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you're taking, especially:

erythromycin
indinavir (Crixivan)
itraconazole (Sporanox)
ketoconazole (Nizoral)
ritonavir (Norvir)
saquinavir (Fortovase, Invirase).
