| Common Side Effects: diarrhea, upper respiratory infection. |
| |
| Less Common Side Effects: headache, fatigue, swelling, inflamed sinuses, back pain, joint pain, high or low glucose level, anemia. |
| |
| Missed Dose: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Don't double the dose. |

Drug Interactions: Combining certain medications may alter their actions or produce unwanted effects. Tell your health care provider about other prescription medications, nonprescription medications, herbs, and supplements you're taking, especially:
- calcium channel blockers (such as diltiazem, nifedipine, and verapamil)
- corticosteroids (medications such as prednisone that reduce inflammation)
- digoxin
- diuretics (water pills)
- estrogens
- hormonal contraceptives
- isoniazid
- morphine
- nicotinic acid
- phenytoin (Dilantin)
- thyroid products
- procainamide
- quinidine
- quinine
- ranitidine (Zantac)
- trimethoprim
- vancomycin (Vancocin).
